The Story behind the Shot
“This young reef Manta, around 1,5m wide, was feeding in the very shallow waters of the Constance Moofushi resort. I instantly jumped in the water while it was feeding on a big “cloud” of plankton that was under the jetty. After spending 45min alone with this incredible animal, I send the pictures to the Organisation Manta Trust, who ID the local mantas… turns out it was an unregistered manta! I got the right to name him: I named him Spyros.”
